Brazilian Company

Option 1: If you have an innovative idea for R&D, you should partner with one research center which has already done projects in related area of your interest. You should apply for the call for proposal together with research center. The research center will be responsible to deliver the working prototypes ready to go in production. 

Option
2: Your Company can directly develop the project
without partnering with research centers. In this case, it is
recommended to have PhD personal responsible for the research that will conduct
during the project phases. In this situation your company has the possibility
to get associated with an overseas company that will be a possible technology
source.

Canadian Company

The possibility in participating in R&D development in conjunction with a Brazilian company is an avenue for your company to starting doing business in Brazil at low cost  with a solid partnership. To be eligible to participate in these types of grants, a couple of options are available:

Option 1: Partner with Brazilian company and/or research center(s) and through a collaborative R&D Projects to develop a product of both interest. In this situation your company will participation in the production and commercialization of the end product. Non-recurring Engineering (NRE) money is granted by Brazilian Government and Canadian government thorough entities like FAPESP and ISTP Canada www.istpcanada.ca. During the calls for proposal, your company and the Brazilian company or research center are going together respond the call for proposal.

Option 2: Your company can be a solely source of technology for Research centers located in Brazil. In this situation your company is going to provide IP and support during the excursion of the R&D projects in Brazil.
